Firm Profile
The firm of Smith,
White, Sharma, & Halpern was founded in 1988 in Atlanta,
GA by four men with a vision to create a law firm that
could provide services in all areas of law to a diverse
clientele. We are honored to hold the highest ranking
attainable from Martindale-Hubbel, a national publication
that evaluates the services of law firms across the
nation. Over the past 20 years, our law firm has grown
to include offices in several other states, and many of
our attorneys are licensed to practice in multiple
states including Georgia, South Carolina, New Jersey,
California, New York, and Indiana. Our attorneys have
backgrounds in governmental law such as County
Attorneys, City Attorneys, U.S. Trial Attorneys, and Law
Clerks. The law firm has members that are Certified
Public Accountants, members which have obtained their
MBA’s, members which have been published, and members
which have obtained their doctorate degrees.
In 2004, the Atlanta Magazine conducted a poll and
determined that two of the members of Smith, White,
Sharma & Halpern were selected for the honor of Superior
Lawyer (in the top 5% of Georgia attorneys). They were
named super Lawyers for 2004 for general business
transactions and corporate work. At least one of the
members of the firms has been appointed and nominated to
such recognition in 2005 as well. Members of the firm
also include those who have obtained appointments to the
American Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
The law
firm represents many large corporation and acts as
general counsel to both public, private, and
closely-held corporations. The clients of the
corporation include franchisors, franchisees, and many
national corporations such as Circle K, Phillips
Petroleum, and Southern Scottish Inns. The law firm has
experience in representing financial institutions, both
residential and commercial closings, and has a
substantial amount of experience in banking litigation
and collections.
